The Republic of Ireland is a member state of the European Union. Since the Irish war of independence ended, which was marked by the Anglo-Irish Treaty on December 6, 1921, Ireland declared its independence from the occupation of England. Geographically, Ireland is bordered by Northern Ireland, where Northern Ireland is still one of the territories of the United Kingdom Government. Although Ireland's area is relatively small, Ireland's economic progress has positively contributed to the people of Ireland, the European Union, and other European Union countries. Meanwhile, several sectors support Ireland's economic progress, and one of them is the tourism sector. Various culinary arts characterize the Irish tourism industry that the Irish people have developed. The food and beverage industry also developed and encouraged the opening of other types of industries that mutually support the Irish economy. The Irish government considers gastro diplomacy an effective way to encourage trade in the Irish F&B industries, including advancing their tourism industry. By seeing the Irish government's efforts to promote their F&B industries, this book provides an overview of gastro diplomacy from the author's point of view. Ireland's role, strategy, and efforts in developing the F&B industries, especially the diplomatic route used, can enrich knowledge about the culture of European countries. In addition, this book can also be an additional reference in international studies from a different perspective. The author also sees that with the publication of this book, Irish culture can be widely introduced, especially regarding Irish culinary traditions and history. In closing, the author hopes for readers' suggestions, input, and criticism.
