Confucianism influences the behavior and mindset of the people of South Korea. Confucianism's virtue emphasizes that Confucianism is not a sect of a particular religion. However, Confucianism can be interpreted as a teaching, ethics, or guideline for someone's behavior that they should follow. Confucius developed the teachings of Confucianism in the 6th century AD (541-479 BC). His teachings then originated not only in China. However, the doctrine has also been taught in Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Vietnamese societies.
