Berkenaan dengan dampak perubahan iklim yang terjadi saat ini, maka kajian tentang bagaimana peran media dalam memberitakan tentang perubahan iklim menjadi sangat signifikan yaitu apa peran media dalam mempengaruhi tindakan pribadi, nasional, dan internasional untuk mengatasi perubahan iklim dan seberapa banyak media berkontribusi melalui liputan medianya, seberapa banyak media meliput perubahan iklim. Media harus mengagendakan bahwa liputan secara intens tentang perubahan iklim menjadi sangat penting sehingga publik akan terpapar atas berbagai problem tentang perubahan iklim, apalagi pemerintah sudah menetapkan dalam kebijakan pembangunan nasional. Liputan media tentang perubahan iklim sekaligus juga menjadi alat melakukan monitoring bagaimana komitmen pemerintah atas capaian SDGs. Pada buku ini, kami berusaha untuk mendalami bagaimana liputan media nasional di Indonesia dalam memberikan isu-isu perubahan iklim; dan bagaimana agenda media tentang isu perubahan iklim.
