    Having a conversation about a building will also talk about its planning system, a hospital building is no exception. Hospital as an institution will continuously develop from time to time and the building has to accommodate it will of development and numerous change in activities inside it. Besides the general requirements as a public building, a hospital building as an institution engaged in health services has many special requirements.

    More than to refer to the current regulatory guidelines, a lot of things need to be considered. In addition to the constitutional guidelines for facilities and infrastructure, such as patient safety, infectious and non-infectious space zoning, as well as a satisfactory level of hospital users both staff and patients to their environment are equally important to be taken into account, considering that they spend most of their time in the building, it must not a dangerous place for all whose activities are in it. In addition to the current COVID-19 pandemic era, several additional considerations are needed in designing a hospital building.

    Therefore, PKMK as a center for health policy and management under the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with MARS UMY and also UNISA Architecture Study program will hold seminars in the form of online webinars for 3 days inviting national and international speakers to jointly learn about how to design a hospital building that prioritizing health and safety.
