Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Manuscripts have been submitted, received, and never been in any journal before being sent to The Journal of TheJournalish: Social and Government.

  1. Manuscripts must be written in a minimum of 4000 words.
  2. Authors must state a statement explaining that the article is original and does not contain elements of plagiarism.
  3. Manuscripts are written using standard Indonesian or English by taking into account the rules of academic writing.
  4. Manuscripts are sent in .doc format with a maximum file size of 3 MB.
  5. The paper size is A4 with Normal margins.
  6. Manuscripts can be uploaded via this link using the author's username who has been recorded in the open journal system. Authors can also send their manuscripts via email address thejournalish@gmail.com
  7. Journal Manager Thejournalish: Social and Government have the authority to modify or correct spelling, writing, and sentence errors.

WRITING SYSTEM

  1. Initial section: title, author's name, abstract.
  2. Main sections: introduction, literature review (if any), research methods, research results and discussion, conclusions, and suggestions.
  3. Final part: acknowledgment of inclusion, institution, source of financing.

TITLE AND AUTHOR'S NAME

Title, written in a maximum of 15 words.
Author's name, written without using an academic degree. Written in capital letters, and should not be abbreviated. The order of writing starts from the first author, the second, and so on.
the name of the author's agency under the author's name.

ABSTRACT

Abstract written in Indonesian and English with a maximum of 200 words. A good abstract contains an overview of the problem formulation, methods, and results.
The abstract is equipped with keywords consisting of 3-5 words which are the core of the abstract summary.

A good introductory section should contain background, problem formulation, and hypotheses.
Not written into subsections
If it contains a literature review, it should be written in this section.
The purpose of writing the manuscript should also be clearly stated in the introduction.

CONCLUSION
The conclusion section must contain a summary of the manuscript that has been written. If the author wants to give suggestions, it can also be written in this section.
avoid the use of repetitive sentences or statements, which have been explained in the previous section.

REFERENCE

References should be written using the American Psychological Association (APA) model. We recommend authors use an app reference tool such as Mendeley, Zotero, or Endnote. The following is an example of writing an APA model reference:

  • Printed Book: Author, A. A. (Year of Publication). Title of work. Publisher City, State: Publisher.
